The kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a full-size stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans and dishes for a crowd, so you can put a proper dinner together instead of eating out every night.

The living room opens onto the balcony, which is where most guests end up with their morning coffee. Downstairs there is an outdoor pool, free parking, and the sand is a five-minute walk. This stretch of North Myrtle Beach stays calmer than the strip to the south, which is rather the point. You get the ocean without the crowds, and you are still a short drive from Barefoot Landing, the outlets and the golf.

Good to know before you book: this unit is on the third floor and the building has no elevator, so you will be carrying bags up two flights. The condo has an ocean view rather than sitting directly oceanfront. Check-in is self-service by keypad any time after 4 PM.

For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
